I don't have an account and I don't think I will be able to trust any of these so called challenger banks. Call me old but not being able to walk into a branch to speak to someone face to face if something goes wrong scares me. This may be the future but it's not a future I want to be a part of. I have heard scary things about these startups, twitter is also full of people worried about their accounts being blocked and money not being returned. They haven't even got a banking license for god sakes.
I have banked with Santander as far back as I can remember, back when they were name Abbey National, and it's what I am used to. The only negative thing I would say is their banking system is ancient, even their mobile app has a lot to be desired.
QuickBooks allows me to keep my accounts up to date so easily.
Coconut is great, I have been with them for a year now and have had no problems whatsoever. The app is slick looking and it calculates tax due which is a bonus. The only reason why I haven't given it 5 stars is because payments are not instant, they can take a few hours and even longer over the weekends.
