I have tried Yolt, Emma, Snoop and although they are similar products, Moneyhub surpasses them all. Track income, track and analyse spending, categorise transactions, set spending budgets, connect multiple accounts and all for just £9..99 a year, a real bargain. All this is missing is saving goals, other than that it can do it a all.
If you are a foreign alien like me and you do not have a biometric visa - WHICH I REALLY DO NOT NEED - then don't bother applying, they don't want your business. It's pretty shocking to hear, however, looking at the reviews on TrustPilot they may have done me a favour. I'll stick to me ol' traditional business banking. There are still some dinosaurs wandering this earth.
It’s not as clever as I thought it would be and the user interface is a little overwhelming. Too much useless information. I thought I would give it a try but the best of the bunch for me is Yoast.
Coconut was one of my first digital accounts for a small side business. The signup process was easy, the app is fantastically well developed and my Coconut debit card arrive very quickly. Only issue I have is that there is no faster payments. Payments are taken out of your account instantly but payments in can take an age sometimes. If they can speed this up it will be the perfect account for any freelancer or small business.
Despite me having both a personal and business current account with NatWest I was surprisingly declined a Bo account. I tried to find out why I was declined but they wouldn’t tell me. I have an impeccable credit score. Will never find out why I was declined but I won’t be re-applying, staff were pretty rude.
The on onboarding process is fantastic but the UI could be improved. I do not have a credit account so I can’t comment on this offering but the overall idea is not a bad one.
It's not what I expected. It's not cheap either. Freelancer/sole traders accounts are reasonably priced but if you have a sole trader account just be aware that the account will be in your personal name and not your business name which is a bit of a letdown. Onboarding was also rather disappointing and first few transactions were all held. All is sorted now but it's not what I was expecting and I will be closing the account.
I downloaded this for my daughter and although it is a brilliant idea, the app could do with a UX change and some optimization, it's pretty slow and the preloader doesn't do it any justice.
So far so good, no problems, no accounts being frozen which is a recurring theme on social media. Time will tell, but for now, they get 5 stars.
I have used Quickbooks for over two years and it’s one of the best bookkeeping services I have ever used. The app is well designed, easy to use and the tax summary is brilliant. The price of £9 odd pound is well worth it.
